Martyrs and Saints are models of love and holiness. They
are in continuous vigil before the Lord praying and interceding for us and for
the church on earth. Traditionally they have been known as helpers and patrons
of a city, country, profession, or any individual or group in need of their
help. They sought their intercession through prayers to
ALMIGHTY GOD
who only can answer their prayers. The miracles of
their help are believed over the centuries. This list would help identify patron

Writings
“I believe in the communion of saints”
Many people have the impression that the saints are far away
from us. They are far away from those who have distanced
themselves, but they are very close to those who keep Christ’s
commandments and who have the grace of the Holy Spirit. In
heaven, everything lives and moves by means of the Holy Spirit.
But the Holy Spirit is the same on earth as well. He is present
in our Church: he is at work in the sacraments; we feel his
breath in Holy Scripture. He enlivens the souls of those who
believe. The Holy Spirit unites all human beings, and that is
why the saints are close to us. When we pray, they hear our
prayers by means of the Holy Spirit, and our souls then feel
that they are praying for us.
The saints are alive in the other world, and there, by means of
the Holy Spirit, they see the glory of God and the beauty of the
Lord’s face. In the same Holy Spirit, the saints see our lives
and our actions. They know our troubles and hear our fervent
prayers. So long as they li! ved on earth, they learned from the
Holy Spirit to love God. The person who remains in love on earth
passes over with him to eternal life in the Kingdom of Heaven,
where love grows and becomes perfect. And if already here below
love cannot forget the brother, then how much more do the saints
not forget us and do they pray for us!…
The saints were human beings like all of us. Many of them were
great sinners. But by means of their repentance, they came to
the Kingdom of Heaven, where they are all alive now there where
the Lord and his most pure Mother are. That is where my soul is
drawn, to that marvelous and holy assembly that the Holy Spirit
gathers together.

Reflect each day on those things in which you have erred. And if you call on
God with contrition concerning these faults, He will surely forgive you of
them. Question yourself always, as long as you live, to discover where you
fall short; surely at the time of your death, then, you will not suffer from
the horrible agony of fear because of your faults. Be always ready to
encounter God, and thereby you will be ready to carry out His will. Every
single day examine carefully whichever of your passions you have been able to
conquer-never trusting in yourself, supposing that somehow with your own power
you accomplished something; for God is merciful and He gave you the power to
be victorious. “When, each day, you rise from your bed, remember that you will
give an accounting to God for your every deed, for your every word, as well as
for your every thought. Thus, you will not sin before God; rather, fear of Him
will dwell with you”
